March's 20/20 Hindsight
See what you've missed at EduCoach this month
Well… this month has included a record number of car rants, fetal positions, and tears.
Remember when I said I was choosing to trust last month? That was before the million rejections.
Somewhere along the way—through step work and losing nearly everything important to me—I learned that my ego is one of my biggest triggers.
This week I caught myself thinking and saying out loud, “People have invested millions into me… what a terrible bet.”
I remembered a moment back in 2019 after a presentation on my nonprofit, the Jim Walton said: “She is the future of public education.”
What a chump.
There it is again. Ego.
I’m either exceptional… or a complete fraud. The instinct is still there to disappear when things don’t go my way. And normally, I would. I’d self-isolate. Pull back. Wait until I “felt ready” again.
But this time, I’m doing the exact opposite.
I’m going live.
Giddy up.
Most Popular Action Step
This is not our traditional “action step” per usual. But I think it’s important to give people action steps that make them whole humans. This is hard work.
