Action Step of the Week

Every time you do a shared read with students, use partner reading:

  1. Set a purpose for reading by introducing a thinking task or question for the text

  2. Pair students (low-medium, medium-high)

  3. Release students to read a portion of the text

  4. Monitor students during reading
