The current human attention span of 8.25 seconds is now shorter than that of a goldfish
Action Step of the Week
Every time you give a direction, ask for student attention first by:
Square up, stand still, and scan the room
Give a cue word or phrase (i.e. “class class” “freeze.”)
Give a listening direction (i.e. “everyone in STAR” “voices off, eyes on me”)
Repeat as necessary until 100% of students respond
